Inazuma Eleven GO Subbed Episodes Discussion

Following the tradition of the first series, I've started a new thread for the new series, Inazuma Eleven GO!

So guys, let's get talking...

My initial thoughts after watching the first 2 episodes of GO are....

Meh....

I'm not really feeling it yet and I'm a little skeptical about the whole "avatar" thing. I guess I'll just have to wait and see how it develops.

I would say season 2 Endou.

Majin the Hand or Hammer of Wrath would have comfortably stopped that, I reckon.
Hell, I think Tachimukai could have stopped that with Mugen The Hand.

Series 3 Endou would be overkill for that move.

Death Sword is a pretty awesome move though, nonetheless.

First season Endou would barely stop it after a shot of willpower. Third season uber-Endou could catch it with his bare hands without the help of a technique.

Coach Endou would probably just stare at the ball and it would stop.

As for GO itself, I enjoy how the values Endou stood up for have now been distorted and now serve as a base for as close as a dystopia that its rating will allow. Tsurugi must have been on the wrong side of the soccer pecking order. I'd imagine Endou knows that the state of soccer during GO are in some part due to his actions and he might not be looking his best when Tenma or Takuto find him.

The return of Depressed Endou? This time chugging down beer in a soccer ball shaped glass.

I think Endou would have added a bit of finesse to his emotions after ten years so he wouldn't be completely incapacitated. Then again what's happening in GO is practically a super-sized version of what happened during the Alien arc, same passion for soccer burning everyone else out and everything.

Of course I might be thinking too far into this and maybe he'll be perfectly functional with his mystery wife while occasionally sneaking off to Rairaiken to down a few super-dimensional Heinekens with Tobitaka.

I wouldn't be surprised if Endou didn't change in the slightest. He'll only look older and be stronger. Of course, he won't be interacting with the new main character for a loooong time.

Seen Aki in the opening. Interested in seeing what her role is in the new series. The only GO character I'm looking forward to is the short kid with a Endou headband. Him and Tenma look like best friends in the opening.

Speaking of which, episode 3 gave me a heart attack with all the sweetness between Shinsuke and Tenma. They really do get along well.

Fourth episode seems to be paving the way for character development. Looks like Tsurugi is already getting a little of it. He's certainly more relaxed around Tenma this time around compared to the first episode. And there's the remark he made at the end of the episode, but that might mean his rudeness is indiscriminate rather than being reserved for Raimon soccer players. That was still a dick move Tsurugi did at the beginning of the episode, though.

Takuto is the exact opposite of Endou in terms of captainship. Coach Endou sure has his work cut out for him when he gets around to beating character development into his broken captain. Of course by that, I mean the developing process will take ten seconds rather than the normal five seconds.

Did I just see Megane in the preview for episode 5!?

Also, that purple haired guy with Fudou's VA really annoys the crap out of me.

I refuse to look at those spoilers! Megane will not return. CAN NOT return! Must be his twin brother.

Wow...

Watching that match in episode 5 was so....infuriating....

I know it's just anime and whatnot...but still....

That match was just so frustrating to see....

Which I guess means that they did a good job with it....

And a nice little appearance from Megane too....I wonder what this plan is....

Episode 6, anyone?

God damn that shot was just awesome.

It wasn't even a hissatsu and he blew away that circus acrobat-freak of a goalkeeper.

And by the way, cody...

As for episode 7,
